I just bought a 2013 Superglide. I am used to riding bikes with higher handlebars. I am also having forward controls put on it. The stock handlebar setup feels a bit low and away. Keep in mind I only have a 32" sleeve length. I think I need to install some risers and was thinking about 4" risers with the stock pullback bars. I was wondering if the straight or curved back risers would be better. Does anyone have any experience with this issue. Pictures would be great if you have them.
I have sat on a WG with straight risers and forward controls and it was pretty comfortable. Someone please weigh in.
I hate the angle of the buckhorn bars. I used 6 inch riser with 1 inch back and stock "duece" bars. (I had duece bars from my old Duece)
I did not need to change any wiring length, but did change the brake line guide.(reversed from inside to outside) Pic attched
Rivco risers. They will bring the bars up 1' and back 2". I have them on my 2010 FXDC & they made an unreal difference in comfort. A little pricey, but extremely well made.

Has anyone tried these on a 2011 FXDC? Found them for $128, about the same cost as Harley accessory ones. No changes needed on hoses, cables or wiring, according to the instructions...
I have the same issue with the '01 FDX I just bought...the handlebars are too far forward and too wide. I went to the local dealer and checked out a few different setups on their used inventory until I found one that was just right. Ended up ordering a mini-ape with all the stuff to change it over. It's supposed to be good riding weather this weekend or I would be changing it out. I am off for the next two weeks so I have time to get some riding in beforehand. I will have to drag out the camera and get some before/after shots.

They fit fine on my 2010 FXDC. All you have to do is re-route the wires behind the risers.
