Sup fellas I'll be in the market for one these real soon. I was try it get any info I could before I pulled the trigger. I've seen a few on eBay but not sure which one to go with. Please chime in if you have one on your bike. Pros and cons would be great as well. Thanks in advance.
this thread keeps coming up... people seem to always say that it is just for tank slapper issues... it does wonders for handlebar oscillation and keeping a smooth line in your bike. i use one, highly recommended... makes up for poor frame designs and really helps to smooth out the bike in deep turns and tight S curves. highly recommended if you ride hard... if you are not into pushing your bike, save your $ I recommend this paired with a super brace... like a whole new world.
EastBay, what damper is that in your pick? Looks like a DBI. My bro has a Pingel on his FXDB and has nothing bad to say about it. Shindy dampers run about $260+. Storz is the priciest at about $400+. Make sure you get a fully adjustable damper so you can get the right feel for your style of riding. If you find a good deal on a damper that wont fit your fork you can get 49mm clamps here
its a small hydraulic cylinder that limits the flow of oil from one position to the other. it is adjustable from light feel to a heavier feel. will take out the small wobbles and corrections in the steering of the front end while travelling down the road or track.
someone had posted some video's of this exact thing before. sure they will re post them.
