I have well over $1,000 in Craftsman tools & wrenches, and also have several Snap-On & S&K tools. Craftsman are just as good of quality in most cases as anything out there & they will stand behind their products no questions asked. The same can be said for Snap-on if not more, but you're going to pay more for them. Unless you're a professional mechanic Craftsman tools will suit you well, and still then it would suit you fine.
For 99% of people out there, I think Craftsman is tough to beat.
Some things you can get away with craftsman like heavy duty impact sockets and regular screw drivers but for the stuff your going to put to the test get the real stuff from matco or snap-on. you won't regret it.
Torque bits need to top quality or your just asking for stripped expensive hardware.
Did you find a craftsman torx set? The one I got from sears is another brand and I have likewise chipped one. I didn't think they would replace it but I guess it doesn't hurt to try.
I did get a Craftsman torx bit set. I'm not 100% sure but I don't think the Craftsman Evolv has the same guarantee as the regular Craftsman stuff though.
I have craftsman, SK, proto & snap-on. As for torx & hex bit sockets I use Bondhus 2" Hex Bit Set, Bondhus 6" Ball End Socket Bit Set & Bondhus Torx Bit Socket Set Made in the USA with Bondhus proprietary Protanium steel and are up to 20 percent stronger.
- pay extra for good torx (and torx-plus) bits. I got impact-ready ones and an an impact driver
- get a MAP gas torch with adjustable flame to go with them
Why? Nearly everything is loc-tited. You need to cook that loc-tite just a bit to break it easily and safely.

I got the 150 somethin piece craftsman set... i do have to go back to buy some more stuff tho... the biggest wrench in the set isnt big enough to unscrew the nut that bolts the stock front turn signal to the handlebar... that and some torx bits.
but you cant beat the price of craftsman sets tho. id check online before going to sears cuz sometimes their prices online dont match the prices displayed. I showed the cashier on my phone the internet price and she was able to adjust accordingly.
Craftsman are great, like everyone has said, damaged, worn, and even in good condition you just walk in hand them the tool and go get a new one at no Cost. All my sockets and wrenches are Craftsman.
