I like how it looks without the badge.

I'm going to paint mine with black enamel using an artist brush. I just can't decide whether to go gloss or flat.

I think the bike just doesn't look finished without something there. I would try the badges and if I didn't quite like it I would try something else. Maybe an old school pin stripe and incorporate a HD logo in there somewhere. Done right it would really finish the look off.
