ok here we go
first chunk was wheels rotors and pulley

before: stock cast ugly color

After: phantom black powder on wheels and gloss black on rotors and pulley

next up was the turn signals, got rid of the chrome honkin hueg ones and installed the smaller bullet style ones after havign them and the hardware powdered in gloss black

picked up a set of screamin eagle double barrel pipes for christmas but they where chrome and that had to change

Before:chrome

After: Phantom black powder o nthe heat shields

as iof today i have started into the tear down for the major work lots of disasembly in stages.

Before

rear end stripped down of just about all things

pile of parts going to powder coating

old pipes off

new system test fit*gotta make a custom rear mounting bracket

I'll keep adding to this thread as more stuff gets either disasembled or re-installed, theres lots going on and lots planned so keep an eye out for updates

well got out to the barn today to do some more tear down of parts to send to the powder coater.

tank off and airing out waitign to go to the powder coater

right side forwards and brake rod off

left side forwards off

Cracked the camchest to have a peek at the tensioners, they look damn near brand new with no noticable wearing on the outer and barely the thickness of a paper on the inner. so now i am debating on wether i want to do them this winter or hold off another riding season and do them next winter...

It's not going to be riding season for you for a while right? If it were me I'd convert to hydraulic tensioners while its down and be done with it.

riding seasons about a month away for me

the attached pic was taken bout 5 minutes ago from my backdoor. our winters in this part are very short usualy jan and feb are when i have to stop riding by end of feb im back out riding.

as well the hyd upgrade is $567cad before 15% tax and the extra not included bits and pieces. next winter i am pulling the cases down to have them all powder coated so while the cases are split i plan on getting the crank either trued or if the run out is to much gettign a high end one and going gear drive so no sense in spending the $$$ on a hyd upgrade at this point in time if my mechanicals are still servicable
