I think Fuel Pak works good enough. If you have aftermarket air filter & exhaust, and don't have the money for a proper tuner and dyno. An used Fuel Pak (here or ebay) for around 100 bones can get you by until you/if you decide you want/need something better. It will cool it down a little, fix deceleration popping/sputtering, and make it run a little better. At least it did with mine. And you should be able to re-sell it for about the same amount you got it for if you bought it used. Some tuners like Power Vision will only work on one bike. You can't re sell it if you don't like it, or want to go back to stock.

I vote against fuelpak for the reason someone else mentioned earlier, they wont share the adjustment params . This means every time you change or mod something (or have a fuel related problem!) your ONLY option is to call V&H. With power commander anyone familiar with fuel injection(and a laptop computer) can easily adjust it. Not a big deal for some, but made a big difference with me.

I put the fuelpak on my 11 Street Bob when I did the standard stage 1 upgrades cause I figured V&H pipes might as well go with same tuner and it was so affordable. It honestly ran great. Then I decided I wanted to upgrade my cams and decided on Andrews 26h cams. However, I was worried with the new cams I would need a different tuner because i know the pak only does fuel and not timing. Fuelpak actually had a map on their website specifically for those cams and my set up exactly to the T. I was a little hesitant even still. But after I installed the cams and set up the map for the cams..... IT RUNS GREAT! Yes I'm sure I'm leaving some on the table blah blah with the fuelpak but with tight money and not wanting to upgrade if I DON'T HAVE TOO, the fuelpak FOR ME and my set up runs great. I'm not concerned with dyno numbers just how my bike runs and rides. I'm very happy with how the bike pulls and runs. sure a PCV may have been a better option right out of the gate but i got a screaming deal on the pak so i went with it. In a result, the fuelpak for stage one is great and for ME it worked very well for my bolt in cam upgrade. MY bike now pulls way harder and runs like a top. MY experience with their support has been great as they are very quick in responses. Again JMHO and this is my experience you'll read others have different results. For me I guess I got lucky.

there is nothing bad about the fuelpak. ive had mine on for 10,000+ miles with NO problems.... sure if you plan on doing motor work in the future then by all means buy a $500 tuner. but as mentioned above, if you only plan on doing exhaust and stage 1 AC, a fuelpak works perfectly.

I've put one on three bikes and they always work flawlessly. Two street bobs and one iron 883. Super easy to use, runs great, and great customer service! Plus if you call them they can give custom maps overthe phone for cams and ect.....

Agree with Schwanz583, the suport is great every time I send an email requesting help I have always got a reply that same day or early the next. They nailed a good map for my Andrews 26h cams. If I do any other motor work from their ill def look into a more wide range tuner. But if it ain't broke don't fix it, that's how I feel and mine runs great.

one question, with the fuelpak you leave the o2 sensor hooked up,on all the other tuners you have to unhook them, anyone now what is good or bad about leaving them hooked up,and if this is why you can"t adjust anything else with the fuelpak I allready have xieds on the bike and they say these work well together

Hey jojo2dog, yeah with the fuelpak you leave the o2 in and connected. They are good to have because they help to make adjustments while you ride via the ecu. I don't have the xied but I have heard from other members hat they do work well with the fuelpak. The thing the fuelpak lacks is ability to adjust Individual cylinders and so on, and most importantly, timing. Other more $ tuners will do more but you gt the point. These things are very important when it comes to internal motor work. Otherwise stage 1 (intake, exhaust, tune) the fuelpak is great and a great affordable tune.
