I let the Fatbob stay at the dealers and signed on a 2013 Limited-black and blue. I know I will miss some aspects of the FXDF but I am looking forward to the open road on the Touring bike. Made the tourpack Q-release and got a backrest and rack for daily rides, have always liked the Street Glide look. Will have to find a stock SG seat for a sporty look. Don,t know how the "Fatbobmg" label will work in the touring section, may be like wolves on a newbie? Mike
Like you said, you'll miss aspects of the dyna. Conversely, there are things to definitely like about the touring models. Hope it works out for you! Enjoy the new ride!
Hey Congrats! I love the look of the Limited myself also. Hopefully when I'm in the market next year I come across a post 09 model. I love my FatBob. If I can swing it, I'll have both!
congrats on the switch, yes your forum name is a dead giveaway, but just like a woman you didn't marry the first one you banged so with age comes wisdom
my buddy loves the SG look, owns a limited, buy the tour pak quick detach kit, drop the tourpak until you need it, drop the rear light bar, opt to buy a SG bullet style rear light bar with the under mounted license plate light and mount your license plate under the light bar
totally cleans up the rear when the trunk is off and looks way better
Congrats on the new ride! If touring is your thing, you made a great choice. I rented a Street Glide over the summer while on vacation. Nice ride! Cheers.
I've owned my Dyna for almost 7 years and 57,261 miles ...
Every once in a while I'll look at the Limited or Road Glides ... however, every time I actually take one for a test ride, it draws me back to reality ... they just do not give me enough room to spread out like I can on my (modified) Dyna ...
Congrats on the new bike purchase ...
