I want to change the wheels on my Fatbob for some spoked wheels. I am getting loads of conflicting info regards this. I want to keep the twin disc set up but otherwise fairly flexible. Is there anyway of doing this without having to sell my kidneys to afford?
Your rims look great on that bike. Why do you want spokes? Pain in the *** to clean.
Your bike looks so right with the stock rims!
If your sick of them maybe powder coat them gloss black!
The problem lies in the dual discs. Any wheel gets hidden by the discs. I had a set of SE Fangs wheels on my 2008 FXDF and the bling was hard to see. Mike

+1!
If you want to change it up, that is cool, but it looks sweet as it is.
Spokes are cool if you are really needing a retro look. I would prefer a cast wheel (tubeless tires can be plugged on the road) on my Dyna, but I need the "look".
The rear wheel could be the real tough one. I took my original Dyna hub, slightly shortened the spokes and laced it to a 16 X 5.00 from a 2010 Road King. It carries a 180 but I suspect you may want a 200mm rear tire. I believe there is a 16 X 5.50 rim made for the Fat Boy (?).
