I have a 5' by 10' metal shed with a concrete floor that I've always kept my Sportster in during the summer months. During the winter months it stays in my grandparents basement. No big deal, drive in, drive out.
After getting my new Dyna in August I find out the bars are 3 inches too wide for the basement door. So the Dyna is in the shed in the cold. Not good enough for me.
So I had to special order a 40" basement door for my house. $400, but the Dyna will fit and it kept me from having to cut an 8' concrete wall. Next i rented a jackhammer to take out the top 2 basement steps so the angles will be right for the bike when I pour my ramp.
I have the concrete ready to go, I just need two days near 50 degrees with no rain. Come on KY I know you can do it! lol
This weekend I ordered:
Vance & Hines Straightshots HS Slip-On Mufflers
Vance & Hines VO2 Naked Air Cleaner Kit
Willie & Max Revolution Series Saddlebags
Chrome Straight 3-1/2″ Risers
Shaker Footpegs
2012 Dyna Service Manual
(Everything was 15% through J&P.)
I have almost pushed the button to order a windshield more than once today. Maybe I should get off of here?
Looking at the weather, it looks like my stuff will be in before I get my concrete and door finished. At least I can look at it I guess. LOL I am sooo ready for Spring.
LOL. I was planning on bringing mine in the house too. I don't think it'll fit threw the front door and don't think the little trip off the porch would be fun backwards.
Thanks guys. Raining here now, looked at weather and it don't look like I'll be pouring concrete in the next 7 days. Oh, well, I can play with all my new parts when they get here in the house until then.
Oh, yeah, I bought the damn windshield last night. 20% off a HD quick detach with no shipping. Couldn't pass that up. No more spending money for a month! lol
