My new 07 lowrider was FINALLY delivered to my fathers place in New Hampshire. I am currently in San Diego for another 3 weeks. Anyway, he told me there is a blinking light that will not turn off. He called the dealership, and they said don't worry about it and it should go off in 15 min. It is still blinking.
I have no idea because I am not in possesion of the bike, and he has always owned Harleys from the mid seventies. He asked me to call the dealer here, but they are closed.
What is the blinking light? Security/alarm? Is it supposed to keep blinking and it is nothing to worry about?
The service manual doesn't say anything about it. But I have only had it a couple of days (the manual that is), so I am still getting familiar with it. Is it me, or does the manual say nothing about breaking in the bike? Maybe I should read some more before I look stupid again!

Is it me, or does the manual say nothing about breaking in the bike?
Unfortunately, you will get a variety of opinions on break-in, so do your research on the subject, then do what you think makes the most sense. I subscribed to the concept of not running it over 50mph for first 500mi. Others will say ride it like a bat outta hell from day one. Once again, the decision is ultimately yours. Good luck with that...
Break in is easy don't try and kill it for the first 500 and avry your speed and gears as much as possible.BUt since you seem to be new to Harley you'll be driving it that way anyhow I bet.
