LED indicators for FXDL

LED indicators for FXDL
I would like to hear from anyone who has installed LED indicators into the dash on a FXDL., or anyone who is knowledgable on this subject. I read a post awhile back about a member who installed on his FXDL, but I am unable to find it. I have a 03' FXDL and will be relocating the indicator lights. I am looking at panel mounts or snap-ins. Do these LED's need to be waterproof? I have contacted a couple suppliers of panel mounts and they say that they are not waterproof. Do I need to install a resistor as well? Any info would be appreciated.
