Talk to Howard at Motorcycle Metal. He has a ton of knowledge about brakes and suspensions.

Thanks for the info, I dont want to eliminate my ABS.

The problem I am having is just a lack of braking power and I really have to pull on that lever very hard.

How will I know if I have a master cylinder problem?

Thanks for the advice... any suggestions of the best rotor to use?

I'd go by the dealer. That doesn't sound right. It could be air or the master cylinder. You can try the fix I read the other day. Tie the lever down over night. That can help the air issue. It won't help the master cylinder.

Yes, if the brakes don't improve in the next few hundred miles I will definitely go by the dealer and get them to check it out.

Is the jay brake 6 piston calliper a significant improvement over the stock caliper?

If I go with the 6 piston caliper, do I need to change the master cylinder?

Thanks for the link.

So in your opinion the stock caliper is good enough? I would have thought that the caliper would have been the first thing to be changed...
