Throttle/Idle Cable Has Whooped Me!!!!!!

Had the same thing happen on one of my bikes and when I disconnected the cables from the grip one of the cables partly came off the wheel behind the AC.
It was causing it to kinda like stick, would not return back. Now I pull the breather, all you need off is the cover if you have a stage 1 AC, that way you can see the throttle wheel. Now I just pull the AC cover and disconnect the cables and changing grips is a piece of cake.
Just a thought

No not yet. Had to quit due to dang tornadoes. Got one on the ground 10 miles south where I live that has demolished 3 homes and injured some folks just a few minutes ago. I have a stage 1 and can see the cables which appear to be on track. Gonna pull off the entire breather tomorrow for a better look if we don't get blown away tonight. Thanks for all the help guys.

Like others mentioned make sure the throttle lock thumb screw on the bottom is turned out, and make sure the shoe for it inside the switch housing didn't get dislodged.
Make sure the cables are on the throttle body correctly.
Finally obviously make sure the cables have enough freeplay adjustment.
Always be careful of the brake light switch when messing with the switch housing, perch or brake lever, its very easy to break.

Heck no, twisters are not my cup of tea, i was running from it
Here is a longer version of the second video.
Been through 2 of them.
first one that went through got the roof of the house.
2 years later more cam through. One was on the ground in every county of the state of Alabama when these came through.
The only one that came close went up and over us. Still had over 100 mph winds though.
Hope you are okay.

This tornado i believe was on the ground for 75 miles and 4 counties and amazingly i have not heard of one fatality. Everyone here in south Mississippi are experts on severe weather since Katrina, i've seen it all, well except for a earth quake, guess that's next.
Anyway, i watched 4 good videos on throttle/idle cable adjustment and i'm fairly sure i can get it done. Gonna try it again this afternoon.
Spoke to my Indy who recommended putting the smallest drop of sewing machine oil in the grip where the cables go in. All was fine after doing so and no issues since.
