Local harley dealer had the Harley-Buell demo team on tap. I haven't been on a bike in about 15 years. Test drove the Streetbob and absolutely fell in love. I am short and like the mid-controls. Went inside and found the FXDC which looks like the old Superglide circa 1971. Really serious, any comments or suggestions before I sign on the line?
Which did you like the FXDB (streetbob), or the FXDC (superglide custom)? The major differences are the blacked out motor (streetbob)and the handlebar setup. The bob has the miniapes and the custom looks to have the same buckhorns as the superglide. The custom will have more chrome than the bob. Both have mid controls. Might want to check around at other dealers to find a bob if that is what you want or get the custom and put the miniapes on it. I'm planning on putting the miniapes on my superglide and highway pegs. Like the mid controls. The custom lists for about $1000 more than the bob.
Also some differences in paint choices I believe - but try to demo the Custom first to see if that's what you like, otherwise RUN don't WALK and sign up for the Street Bob - love mine! And a great starting point for customizing. Use the $1000 difference towards pipes, intake upgrades and fuel mapping (SERT, PCIII, etc).

Just get it! Went to the dealer couple weeks ago just to look at differentbikes. Had aLow Rider in my mind, first time I laid eyes ona pewter denim Bob, I was back the next day. Its now at my house.
Gotto go with the Street Bob. Can not go wrong with it. With all the black you have more time riding and less time washing the chrome. Sign on the dotted line and ride on.
