Default Replacing Outer Primary

Hey everyone,

I'm replacing my outer primary cover, and wondered if you recommend to upgrade/replace anything while the cover is off (relatively easy stuff, and yes I do have a service manual). I have 7500 miles on the bike. Thanks for the input!

The fluid! Do you rip on it or plan motor work in the future? Only thing I can think of is a screamin eagle clutch spring. Cheap, easy install and a great upgrade to the lazy stock feel.

either the SE clutch diaphragm spring or the barnett Heavy duty one. check your primary chain tension. not sure if your bike has a compensator upgrade thign yavailable if it does the throw that in there.

+1 on the spring, i like the barnett spring as i feel that that allows the plates to really grab nicely. I would also say powder that sucker while it is off. We only charge $50 to coat a primary and it really does look nice when on the bike.

really depends how deep you want to get into it... on mine we made a plate, welded that in, then powder coated the primary, this filled in the divit that our bikes have in there

Thanks Joe! Appreciate the input. Yes, I will do the clutch adjust too. I am working on some performance upgrades first but I do have a dream of someday sending you a ton of parts for powder....I didn't like what I originally did with my bike in the vance and hines 2 into 1, pcv and stage I air cleaner....at this point I'm going with the RB Racing LSR 2 into 1, and a Sespt or TTS....and hopefully by the end of the season get some cams

The primary adjuster is auto there's no adjustment. I'd just make sure its not banjo tight.

Should I get the whole clutch pack from Barnett or just the spring?
