I'm running V&H Big Shots Staggered. When I got them they were a lot louder than I thought they would be, compared to my SE II slip-ons. I installed the quiet baffles which lowered the sound and quieted it down a bit (still louder than SE II slip-ons!) but it sounds awesome now.
V&H makes some pretty loud pipes! I bet the Big Radius and maybe even the Short Shots are pretty loud. And if that's not loud enough for ya, take the baffles out!
Big Radius has a nice sound. Loud enough and good performance. I don't know if I would take out the Baffels. Might loose some performance. Go on V & H website and take a listen
If wedon't start being at least somewhat responsible when it comes to how loud our bikes are someone else is going to start making those decisions for us.
My Fat Boy SE has Samson II, Rip Saws. They come without baffles. I would put them up against any HD exhaust system for being outrageously loud. I have the 103 engine so that might contribute to the volume. Six weeks ago I installed drag pipe baffles and they are still louder than most HDs.
On a scale of 1 to 10 with the stock exhaust being a4 and my pipes without baffles a 9.5. With baffles a 8.5. I would rather it was a 7.
I like a nice sounding loud exhaust, but once you go up too far in volume, it is just plain annoying.
