5000 RPM IDLE! Are you kidding me? LOL. Make sure you get a service manual ASAP and get that throttle grip adjusted soon!

Even if you have the cables adjusted properly, you may have the whole throttle/brake assembly pushed too far on the bars which causes the end of the throttle grip to rub the end of the handlebars. Good luck.

If your bike is idling that high, you got mechanical issues?

Please don't blame this on the Powervision. I don't even see how someone would fat finger that idle rpm in the tune because who sets their bike at 500-600 rpms. I have mine set at 1200 rpms at startup and then it incrementally decreases down to 925 rpms once the engine temps go over 147 degrees.

Nah bro that's normal after a stage one. Take her for a ride and see how much faster it feels! Just watch that shift between first and second!!!

5000 rpm is not idling. Don't let Kermit do any more work on your bike.

Get a roll of emery cloth like plumbers use and clean up the bars under the grips.

You would probably be best off selling your tools and using that money to have somebody qualified work on your bike.

Ok, got it fixed. Thats what happens when you rush. I just returned to the states and was trying to get everything on quick so I could ride. Thanks for your help, and your smart *** comments.
