Default Evap cannister relocation kit

I have a 2011 Super Glide FXDC and was wondering if anyone knows where the canister gets relocated to with the Harley Evap Canister Relocation Kit P/N 60800005? Most items on the website have a PDF with shows how to install the part, but not this one.

I'd relocate it to the bottom of the trash can, if that doesnt work try the top.

Gotta love California... lol

Pulled mine too, but saved it just in case they try and pull some BS in the future. Who knows what they'll think of next.

Thanks for the quick responses, but you have failed to answer my question. I wish to keep the cannister to satisfy the state requirement, I know with my luck I will get pulled over and it will become an issue. I simply want to know where it gets relocated with the kit?

According to the description, the "canister relocation kit" is used on CA models when mounting engine guards (crash bars). Looking at the 60800005 bracket (see thumbnail) I'm guessing it still mounts to the front of the mtr mount but raises the can a little higher/outward so that it clears the crash bars?

Did the same thing. Not to worried about it being an issue in MN, but I couldn't bring myself to throw it away just in case. Sitting on a shelf next to a bunch of other stock parts I'll never use.

I just did the same thing yesterday to make room for a Sputhe Positrac...I guess one of the hoses needs to be plugged, but I'm not sure which one.

My MPGs dropped from 42 mpg to 32 mph after removing it. So I'm guessing there's more to this than just pulling it off.

Which hose needs to be plugged?

Please confirm that that is what has happened to you. I have removed several and you should not be having such a problem.
The way I do it is after removing the actual can, I will follow the hose up and under the tank, it will attach to a little vacuum nipple on the TB.
Pull it of from there and make sure to plug the nipple as that will cause a vacuum leak and cause the bike to run poorly.
You can also just plug it from the bottom next where it attaches to the canister if you don't mind the hose being there.

Maybe the vacuum leak is the problem. I don't know, but I decided to put it back. Temporary mount using zip ties until I can figure something more permanent. From the service manual schematic, there is a solenoid that one of the hoses runs to. The other runs up to the fuel plate, and the third is a vent. Not sure how they all work, but that's the only thing that changed before my mpgs took a dump. There was also a strong smell of gas, and the tank plate hose had a wet fuel drip.

I'll monitor the next couple tank fulls now that it's all back together and report back.
