Hi Im new to this forum. I have a 2006 streetbob with thunderheader and big sucker intake. I was wondering what a good 95 kit would be including cams. I was quoted just under 800 through harley for the SE 95ci kit with 254e cams and a harley tuner. looking for a good amount of low end power.. would this be a good deal?
Don't do a 95 kit. Step up to a 97 or 98, there are many many good options out there.
For example, you will get much more power out of having Axtell bore your jugs to 97ci, S&S 570 cams, and mild head work. A Proven combo with great power. Go with power-vision for a tuner.
You could also hit up fuelmoto for their 98ci kit that also makes awesome numbers.
A few years ago when I was buying parts to up grade my 88....I was told to stay away from 97-98 inch kits due to reliability issues but things might have changed.
I bought jugs, pistons from Vee Twin here on the board, bored to 95 inch and 10.25 to 1 domes pistons.
The heads I bought where Ported, polished, over sized springs and a few other things that would blow your budget.
I used Fueling Reaper .574 cams, race roller lifters.
I had to upgrade the air filter, baffles and a few other things as I needed more air and better exhaust with the heads.
