Default Installing Forward Controls 2007 FXDL
I'm purchasing the Harley forward control kit part #49021-09 for my Low Rider, and while I'm at it I'm going to go ahead and switch over to a black primary/derby. I looked on Ebay seeing if maybe I can grab a primary cover cheaper than taking mine in for powder, and I noticed alot of the listings state "Cover for mid-controls" or "cover for forward controls".

Is it absolutely necessary to buy a completely new primary cover for the forward controls?

Anybody else ever run into this issue?

I just cap the shaft hole, it looks fine to me. See black plug in the picture.
