Hd1 ordered my denim black street bob with forward controls and the 103....got the call it was ready to pick up, FINALLY. Well, I'm in Ohio and it was 29 degrees with strong wind and flurries. By the way, it was almost 70 on Sunday. Anyway, I've been chomping at the bit to get it, so I decided to brave the frigid temps and pick it up after work. The roads were pretty dry so what the hell. Needless to say, I bundled up and it wasn't too bad. I made the mistake of thinking my leather gloves would keep my hands warm...boy was I wrong. They were hurting! Had to stop after a few minutes to double up with some winter gloves. Anyway, to say it was an interesting 35 miles or so home would be an understatement, lol. Got home, thawed out, then started putting the pipes and horn cover that I got on before the bike. Because I got a late start, I was in the garage till 2am, lol. I was living it tho. I'll be back at it tonight to throw on the ac and micro tuner!
By the way, what an awesome ride on the bob! And the 103, everything stock....man does it pull! My last one was an 06 deuce with the 88....talk about a difference. I can't wait to finish the mods and test her out. I'm thrilled tho..can't wait to log some more miles!

Congrats man. I know how you feel I've taken my Bob out on several below freezing rides and with no wind protection it gets real cold real fast. I'm thinking about investing in a batwing to extend my riding season out a little. Lets see some pics of what you got done to her.
I know. Thing is. It was supposed to have been delivered last Friday , which would have been awesome for the weekend. Either way, I've got some tinkering to do with the mods, so that is exciting until the weather breaks again.
On my cell at work right now, but I will try to post some pics later tonight.
Good on ya for braving the weather. Sometimes you just gotta DO IT! Sounds like you're having some fun getting your ride put together. Post up some pics soon so we can all get a look at her!
