Thanks you for the nice comments on the bike and the garage. I think a clean garage is a compliment, but I know some people would argue that. IT is an offsite garage condo complex a mile from my house. Many units are over the top, mine is more basic. One of the best ones is a "Harley" garage - HD pool table, orange and black floors, 120" projection AV system...

The rims are deep metallic red. Not really candy apple red, but along those lines. I had not seen them in person when I ordered them thru the HD1 program and they came in darker than expected and I like them better that way.

I have a Badlands mounting bracket that goes on the shock mount. Since they only do horizontal, I took off the stock plate holder with the light on it. I had to use a heat gun to remove the wiring from the chrome bracket. I did not have to cut my wire. I will bolt the stock plate bracket to the badlands mount somehow and run the wire from under the seat down along the plastic belt guard & swing arm. I am taking pictures as I go along.
What are u doing about the space that is left after taking off the stock plate holder? What spacer u using?
I am putting on detachable mounting points for the detachable sissybar (so I can strap a bag to it for road trips). I also did the non saddlebag turn signal relocation which requires a a license plate relocation.
So the ugly plate hanger will look better and the turn signals/tail lights will look a little worse. I plan on blacking them out with plasti-dip for now and something more permanent down the line.
