I just installed the Deflector last week. 6'3, wear a Shoei RF 1000, bare bones seat. .it blocks all the wind. And I think it looks good. For $150 wish I did this sooner (ordered from National Cycle, arrived 3 days later).
Mines angled a bit farther back than yours with the front rubber part touching near the front of the headlights. I was worried about buffeting which kept me from buying a windshield. Didn't want to waste my money. For the price I gave it a shot and am glad I did. With all of the adjust-ability I think it would work for just about anyone. Unless maybe you have one of those big fat touring seats that puts you on top of the bike and wear a half helmet. .then you might have issues.
I,m looking a Windvest now . I,v got a 2012 WideGlide and the more I ride the more I think a windshield would be nice . I called Windvest yesterday still need to think about it . I,m not sold on any thing yet .

That's funny since I have a Sundowner, and a 1/2 helmet when I need the windshield the most (riding longer distances, with the wife on back).
I went with the Windvest since I have the Street Slammer bars, and didn't know if the Natl Cycle would work.
It is a great looking shield for the price
PS I do think I'll keep the HD QD "barn door" for cold weather riding though, even though it looks like swollen monkey a$$.....

If you go Windvest, I highly recommend to not choose the shorter one(14 inches?), they are small to begin with so get the taller size, I sent the short one back as fast as I could.

Not sure if you're agreeing or not. I meant it'd put you outside of the area the Deflector provides protection at if you sit higher up and don't have a face shield of some kind.

I didn't try the Deflector, and by your comment I would imagine it wouldn't have worked well.
To those still looking for a shield, that's a great heads-up!
im 6'2 with the deflector on my fatbob
with the cutout resting on the headlamps lamps at nearly full vertical wind hits me right above the visor on my FF helmet at 80mph. takes all the wind off my chest but lets enough through that i dont broil when its 90+ outside. the light helmet buffeting is acceptable to me. with a taller seat it'd hit me right in the visor not sure how i'd feel about that. i could probly extend the sheild to be more towards the front of the headlamp and gain an inch or 2 of height.
anything bigger and i might as well get a batwing.
Thank you for posting this. I'm 6'4 and have 13 Fat Bob. I've been looking for a windshield but didn't want to drop the $300+ on it. I'm seriously considering this one.
Wow, this one actually does look pretty good on the bike. I had been tossing around the idea of getting a 1/4 fairing since all the shields I looked at made my fxdb look all funky. Love the fact that it is so easily removable as well. This may have just been added to my "I want" list.
