Todd, I stopped at my dealer and told service manager I received the recall notice. This was on a Saturday and he asked when the bike could be picked up. I said Tuesday was fine and he said ok. I didn't ask if it was their policy or HD. It could be both because my dealer has free pick up and delivery within a 35 mile radius for all warranty work or uprades to your bike.
When I had the neutral recall issue, I rode mine in, andmy dealer sent me off on
a loaner of my choice. They called me the next day that my scooter was ready to go.
I waited togo back in fora couple days,
cause I was enjoying the change ofluck.

Sounds like things are a little different down in TX...I can't speak for all the dealers here in NJ...but I can tell you this...I have a better chance of receiving oral favors from Britney Spears than getting a loaner from my local dealer But I'll tell you what...if I thought I could get another bike for a couple days...I'd love it....only problem is....I'd probably want to buy it afterwards.
Todd
I'm in the same boat; get plenty of 'lip service' from the local POS dealer - never a pleasurable experience....
Hey guys is this just a recall for Wide Glides, don't the Street Bobs use the same handle bars as the WG's. Are there any SB owners that have gotten a recall notice out there?

Nope..different bars....thickness is wider on the wide glide bars (the Bobs have the same bars as 05 and earlier wide glides)...and I'm not sure if the Bob bars are internally wired either...which incidentally is the reason for the recall...where the wires come out of the bottom of the bars, that area is cracking on some bikes. Hasn't happened..or started to happen on mine...yet
I was looking into getting the mini apes for my superglide and the lady at Harley told me the SB bars pn#56079-93 were stainless steel and the WG bars pn#56079-93T were chrome plated steel. Material is probably not as strong.

Have you seen her lately? That girl's a mess. You probably have a great shot at receiving oral favors from the stoned and newly shaved, bald headed Brittney.

I know...I know....can you believe my luck. Bi*ch shaves her head 2 days after I made that comment. Consequently, I'd still do her....why the hell not...shaved or not, she's rich.
I predict Anna Nicole Smith the sequel with this one.
