corbin seats
I'm riding my '06 WG to Corbin's Hollister facility on Friday for a new seat. I understand they have a process whereby they work with youto get the right fit. Has anyone gone through this process? I'm curious what to expect.Anyway, I'll post a review of the experience after I get home with my new seat.
I talked to a lady that worked for Corbin at the Arlen Ness show. She was real cool and explained how the process is. Ive also heard frm my buddy who just got a seat for his softail deluxe that it was easy and they were real cool. As soon as I come up with seat money Im gonna ride out there too.
I'm envious of you guys. I'd like to have my pillion narrowed down 2 inches off the sides, but dont want to go through the trouble of mailing it off. Wish I could just ride in like that!!

We got feet of new snow here. Wish I could ride anywhere. I have a corbin solo and have read threads on folks going to the plant for fit and build. Understand it takes about three hours. Phone first to make sure. I really like my saddle.
Clamiero, how did the seat work out for ya? I am going up there on 3/24/07 I am going to leave here Friday and stay at a hotel Friday night. I have an appointment on Saturday. It's a five hour ride each way so I will really be able to tell the difference between the ride there then back. The seat I have now starts to kill my tailbone after an hour and a half. I plan on making the Sturgis run this year and I can't be stopping every hour and a half.
Excellent experience, and I love the seat. A buddy of mine rode down with me and we got to Corbin around 8:30. They had already made the basic seat and when they saw my height (6-4) they immediately made some significant changes. Then they fitted the seat to the bike and I gave it a try. I wanted to be further back and lowerso theyremoved the seat and carved away until it was perfect for my personal wants and needs.I picked out black leather with a baby crocodile pattern embossed into it. The seat I got was the classic solo with passenger pillion. They also wrapped my harley back rest on my sissy bar with the same leather, at no extra charge.
The seat wasn't cheap, but the people were knowledgable and friendly, and the seat isa vast improvement over stock in all ways: look, fit and comfort. Also, theyprovided a meal for me and my buddy at their on-site cafe. The whole process lasted around 4 hours. During that time, you can watch the technicianwork on your seat, or you can walk around the factory and see all aspects ofwhat they do.
