07 SB Electrical Problems! Help!!
It also will usually work better to tighten the cables with a ratchet or wrench (10mm, if I remeber) than a screwdriver. The soft metal will strip easliy. A torque wrench is even better (80 inch pounds).
Gave the bike a once-over last night, checked my battery connections, they're good & tight, but in tracing the ground to the engine I did indeed find that the ground was loose! Pulled the ground, cleaned up the connections, used some anti-seize as previously recommended, and took her for a spin... no issues at all. Rode into work today, no issues. I think I'll take the recommendation of another forum member and use lock washers on my battery terminals instead of the standard washers I'm using now. Thanks everyone for your input - one of these days I'll have some useful tips for some of you!
