Default Which cam for FXDXT?

I recently picked up a 2001 FXDXT with 40k miles. Next time I change my oil I think I'm just going to replace the cam tensioner pads with the cyco ones, let me forget about them for the next 30-40k miles. I was considering doing the gear upgrade, but I think just replacing the pads is more economical.

I figure I may as well replace the cams while I'm in there. From doing some reading its between andrews 26, andrews 37, and S&S 510. The only mods on there are a SE heavy breather and VH 2-into-1 pipes. Any thoughts on the best bang for the buck with that setup?

I ran the 26's with a stock stage 1 and then put 37's with the big bore. Both were good but I prefer the 37's. Replace the inner and outer cam bearings at the same time.

I plan on doing the big bore eventually, just not in the budget atm. Will the 37s work with stock compression? I believe it's 8.9:1.
How's your gas mileage after those upgrades?

The 37's would work. Also would take the time to install new lifters while you have it apart.
