I just bought a HD Multi Fit Universal Helmet Lock that bolts around a round piece of frame or similar shaped member. My Problem is that I can't find a suitable location to mount it. Anyone want to share where they have mounted their's and maybe share a picture of the mount?
I went to get one and wondered where it would fit. The sales guy looked at my bike and told me the only way it would work is if I had an engine guard. I don't have one and I really don't want one.
I saw a different helmet lock online that has a plate that attaches behind the license plate. Can't remember where though. Will have to look.
I use a cheap gun lock, set my helmet on my rear brake lever and pass cable lock through it and gap between foot peg. never locked a helmet till last year, a couple we ride with had their helmets stolen at a burger joint in Vermont.
Mounted mine on the handle bar, right side so when the forks are locked there is room. Can lock two half shells together with no problems. Have seen them on the engine guard. IMHO the hot exhaust pipes, laying on the ground and/or interfering with the highway pegs would/might be an issue.
