Feel your pain bro... Took a Street Glide out for a ride the other day and was surprised how nimble it is. Was planning on upgrading my wife's Superlow for a Softail Slim but she suggested that I give her my Street Bob and get the Street Glide so she can ride with me when just wants to be a passenger... So I may be pulling the trigger on one in a couple months... Do like dirtdobber suggested and rent on for the weekend... Good luck
You say lightly used. Just make sure you get 08+ year model. They have the new design frame. I had an 07 and it wallowed in turns to a point of being dangerous. Traded it for a Road Glide. More comfortable motorcycle, same kind of dollars.
Both are great bikes, but where is you life leading to? Cruising, long rides or ripping around town bar hopping and tearing through lifes obastacles? I would love to have a street glide as a second ride. But I'm not ready for a bagger quite yet. I figure once I have my wideglide paid off, I will get a bagger for a second ride.

Actually 09 was the first year of the new frame, but I would definitely agree that the 09+ is a much better handling bike.
We have a 2010 wide glide, a 2005 super glide, both have built engines and then I have a street glide.
I would sell both Dyna bikes before I would consider selling my street glide.
It ain't going anywhere.
I've owned my street glide since July now, picked up a new 2012 and love it to death. But i kinda wanted a smaller fun harley. Sold my triumph thruxton and now i am waiting for my 2013 street bob. I still have a triumph scrambler but i do look forward to my bob.
But seriously.... You will love the street glide
I say go for it, there are so many models/styles I personally like...but that street glide is one sweet machine. It would be my choice if cash were not a factor
