thats a good point. the dealer has to do the P.D.I. and test ride. 6k seems really way too low to test ride something. maybe O.P. should question the dealer for this and proof of this inspection being done.

My 2012 Street Bob handbars do vibrate when sitting at idle. Its not that bad but you can see the rattling handlebars. When idling and throttling the handlars do not vibrate as much. This is how the dealer showed me when I ask if these bikes vibrate a lot. Dealer said when you ride and run through the gears the bike does not vibrate that much or at least I cannot feel it. My bike is a 96" so maybe the 103" would be a little bit different? I hardly see anyone complain about SB vibrating so much. I think in your case there may be something wrong with the bike or a bad mount tho I think the mount issue has been fixed from previous issues. Still take your darn bike to the dealer and have them look at it again. And if you have some friends or can meet someone who has a ST that is at least a '12 or '13 test their bike out and see how much it vibes at idling. If your dealer is being an ******* take the bike there still. If this does not solve the problem take to another dealer and see what they say. They should be eager to earn your business.

As someone said...my Street Bob is one of the nicer bikes I have. I would buy another one in an instant!

Mine has a little vibration when sitting still, but as soon as I get it moving, it's as smooth as glass.

when I broke my bike in back in 2011 it smoked and stank for awhile , then as the miles piled up it got better and better. My bike did not really start pulling hard till I got around 4500 miles on it then it just sort of let go and loosened up. Now its a fantastic bike. Does not use oil much if at all and runs smooth at speed. Has good power and I ride it everywhere. If you bike has not gotten better after about 500 miles of break in id be knocking on the dealers door.

My bike vibrates at idle, but its a Harley that's not counter-balanced. The smell could be your exhaust, I had the burnt smell on mine for about 100 miles and I raced it down to the exhaust. Work with your dealer, if they don't give you satisfactory service then find another one. The better your relationship with your dealer, the better chance you have at getting good service and price breaks on maintenance.

My bars vibrate so much a idle that when I left my helmet hanging on the grip while I shut my garage door, it vibrated right off onto the ground.

Once I'm moving though, the ride is nice and smooth. I took delivery in December, and have almost 5000 miles on it. I don't know if I've gotten used to it, or if it really is getting smoother, but everything is gelled now. It feels like I'm part of the bike when I ride. Nothing I've owned before felt this good.

As for the power, keeping it below 3K during break in will prevent you from feeling what it can really do. Once break in is over and you get it over 3K, I expect you'll be pleased. Add a Stage 1 and good tune, and you'll be ecstatic (I know I am).

My garage also smelled like burnt rubber/chemicals for a month or so during break in. Now it just smells like motorcycles and beer.

Not saying you don't have a problem (the squeaking noise seems odd), but some of what you described is common to what I experienced.

Mine vibrates quite a bit but when I get moving it starts to clear up. Sounds like you have a bad dealership to work with. If you have another dealerhip in your area it might not be a bad idea to try them instead of where you bought it.

Should have bought a Road King!!!! LOL Hey Josh I'm sure the dealer will figure it out . Don't get discouraged, you have an awesome bike there. Let the dealer have a shot at it this week, I'm sure they will figure it out. Besides it snowed today and we salted the roads again, need rain to wash that sh#t off

horrible vibration and no power? sounds like a misfire.

if you're this pissy about your dealer then just take the plugs out and check em yourself. they'll give you an idea how the engine's really running.
