Just got my FL-XIED-10's in the mail and I'm getting ready to install them in a few days. I was hoping to get some installation tips for my 2013 Switchback. It came with instructions and they seem fairly clear but I'm not sure where I should install the grounds, especially the front ground? Also, will I need any special tools, I have the basics but on my 2005 Sportster I always went to do something and it needed a weird Torx size and I've been hearing about Star bits for some fasteners, just don't want to get started and not have the right tools needed.
My 2013 Switchback has D&D slipons and I have some decel popping and the heat so I'm hoping this helps and will soon be putting a different air cleaner and that's all the mods I plan on ever making so I'm hoping the XIED's are the right fit for my bike. Any helpful tips would be great. Thanks.
I had them on my FXDC but it never seem to run right. Six gear was terrible, always was lugging. I finally had a TTS installed and had the bike tuned, it now runs awesome. I have D&D FatCats with a AN intake.
Talking to the guy at nightrider, it will work just fine. If you change the air cleaner you might need a fuel control. That was 2 years ago so things change. My FXDC ran perfect with 2" rush slipons and OEM cleaner. I didn't have to deal with grounds so can't help you there.
