Question FXDC Risers?

Hi, I'm new to the forum, new biker and this is actually my first post.

Advise is greatly appreciated on risers for a 2013 FXDC Dyna Super Glide Custom. I'm pretty tall and would like to make the handlebars higher for comfort without replacing them. How high can I go with risers without having to risk cable replacement. No Harley dealer near me, closest is about a 14 hour drive and want to do minimum work.

Thanks in advance to all.

I`m not sure but I think 6" is about the max for 2013 but I`ve read where some people have installed mini apes with no problems but I`m not sure if their bike was a 2013.

I have curved, 4 1/2" risers on my 2009 FXDC and I think 6" curved would just
barely work.

Thank you both.

Does anyone know which brand will match the original Harley plate that came with the bike? Any close up pictures of 4-1/2 which might be a good option to go with?

There are many after market brands. Curved, angled, straight. Ebay has a good new and used selection with prices that match. Just remember you have 1" bars and the riser holes have to be off set to line up with the plate.

Here are a couple of photos of 4 1/2 '" risers I put on my '08 fxdc.
Got the risers through J.p. Cycles. Have other pics if you go to my photo album. [IMG][/IMG

I'm not sure who made my 4 1/2" curved risers; they were in my Indy's box of spare parts
and we just popped them on when I first got the bike back in 2009. They look exactly
like the ones Dyna-Rider has in his pic.

That's exactly what I'm looking for. Nice pic Dyna-Rider.
Looking for a bit more height with out changing cables and keeping my Harley top Plate/Cap.

Thanks to all

You can buy risers from 2" all the way up to 10". I have a softail deuce with 6" risers and i'am not very tall (6ft), I just recently replaced my factory bars with drag bars and i'am gonna have to order new risers now the pullback is just not enough. Check Dennis Kirk.com and jpcycles.com. Both offer free shipping most of the time. Just a thought but if your looking for comfort only and U do like the way ape hangers look, that's the way I would go if I were you!

Take it easy, be safe

Would stock street bob apes work on a super glide custom without changing cables?
