Get the HD detachable windshield. Doesn't take any tools to remove. And doesn't leave anything on the bike when removed. So bike stays clean. Don't like how big they are? Just take a saw and cut them down. Many guys trim their shield to fit how they want. I'm still debating where to cut mine. The tall shield is really nice on the road. But the short shields look cool. Decisions decisions.
If you do go with a HD quick detach windshield, make sure it is the Sport version and not the Touring version if you want something a little smaller.
I have one that I love and made my own lowers that attach right to the shield...all comes off as one piece. It does a great job but still lets you feel like you're riding a bike...just makes it a bit more comfortable.
I trimmed mine to lower it around the light, then trimmed some across the top too.
I had got a HD quick detach used off of eBay for the colder morning rides and honestly I rather ride without it. So much wind comes in between the tank and the bars it almost makes the shield useless.
Another one for the HD Quick detach, Love mine, made a hanger for it mounted to the garage wall, take it off, clip it to the hanger, off you go. No tools, comes off in seconds, no hardware left behind. Nice to watch those big bumble bees coming at you knowing it isn't going to hit you in the face at 100 mph!
I have the HD quick detach, love it for cold mornings but hated the look. Painted the inside with plasti-dip and added an emblem and think it looks 1000 times better.

That does look really good. Nice job on that.
Thanks for all the input everyone. U are all giving me great ideas and options.

Really nice job! If only they made a lucky green metal flake plasti-dip...
