Default Fork size question

I have a 94 wide glide. Trying to buy turn signal clamps for the front forks. When I measure around the fork, I get 5 1/8 inches. I convert circumference to diameter and inches to millimeters and I get over 41 mm's. From reading some other threads, it seems stock forks for my bike should be 39 mm's. Am I measuring something or doing something wrong?

A millimeter js a tiny amount. May just be the difference error in your tape. I do believe that 39 mm is your size, but I would check with the dealer or Indy to be sure.

The other dynas were 39mm. The wg's were 41mm.

Actually that info is wrong.

It should state that up to 2005, wg forks were 41mm. In 2006, they were upgraded (along with all other dynas from that year forward) to 49mm.

My 94' Softail uses the WG forks and they're 41's.
But get good clamps, I've stripped out many. There's not much thread contact.
