Looking great. Any chance of posting a side or quarter view pic with the bags installed?
What's the difference in the ride for you, between the OEM and ape bars?
NP I'll post pix with the bags when I get a chance. Apes didn't make a big difference. On a long ride your arms get a little tired but they're only 12" so I'm not reaching for the sky, my arms are just about straight.
Biggest difference would be due to lowering. Back is lowered 1.5 in and on a big bump it bottoms out, the front (about 1") turning radius got sharper and took some getting used to.

I am by no means a mechanic. Most people are shocked to know I do my own work. Relatively basic tools and a bike jack are all you need. I'm a little mechanically inclined and love doing it. I did everything but fitting the wheels, I figure leave that to the pros.
I recommend everyone do they're own work on a bike, this way you understand the mods you've done. It's not like a car, something breaking or breaking down could end badly on a bike!!!
