Hey yall. been a while since i posted... the warm temps finally decided to show up in IL. Starting to do my homework for this coming winter project... suspension and the dual front discs.
I'm looking for ideas. seems like most of the wheel companies like PM n RSD and most all the harley wheels are left side only. I already know i have to get new lowers for the caliper mount and larger master cylinder and all the other fun lil crap that goes along with it, but my big issuse is finding wheels that will accept a left as well as right side rotor... i'm hoping hogpro will chime in on this, looked at his site and none of the dynas in his gallery have dual fronts....
before someone suggests this, i'm not going to put wide glide trees on and run a fatbob wheel... sorry, not my cup of tea
Have you looked at the 13 spoke mags that came on 2000 and up dynas? just something to think about...I do know, its hard as hell to find a rim that looks good for dual disc!!
the 1999-05 have a diff axel size and spacers than what the 06 n newer do... i'd thought about that, but i dont wanna have to mess around with having to get spacers machined, possibly having to get a new axel, all that fun BS
Where are you getting the lowers from for dual discs? I can't find anything for a 2006 Street Bob. Not worth changing whole front end. I ended up settling on a single 6 piston caliper.

I'm not sure on your 06, but i think it should be a 49mm front end same as my 08. the Fatbob comes factory with dual front disk and is also a 49mm front end, so i'll throw on the fatbob lowers... which also just happen to be black too, which is a plus

How does the 6 piston caliper compare to dual discs in your opinion. Love my duals on the Fatbob, but want more options.
Ghetto choppers in Oceanside did my dual disc front end they used a fat bob lower right leg and powder coated the left to match. I have the slotted 6 spoke wheels too. Some people are using Vrod lowers and wide glide top tubes to gain 2" ground clearance and probably using taller shocks in the back too. I have race tech springs and gold valve emulators, SE fork brace and a ceriaani steering stabilizer and my front end is way better than stock
