Keep this in mind before moving forward with any audio system:
You need a decent audio device with an adjustable equalizer (not just presets). Reason being is you need to adjust the EQ to remove a good portion of the lower bass frequencies. This allows you to turn it up louder with out distortion, and you can't hear bass on the highway anyway.
Also, keep your expectations realistic. It's not going to be the clearest thing in the world going 80 down the highway. Any honest person with a touring bike (HD OEM fairing) will admit to this even with their stock setup.
Yeah. They look good on there. I don't have brackets though...Rifles are mounted via fork clamps and struts. Any idea what you would want for your set up?
The one he mentioned looks like it come with 2 clamps. Maybe it will mount to the riser of the tbar. Not sure if it will fit behind the fairing, or if the clamps are the correct size though.
Can you give a quick review of how they sound and how well you can hear at highway speeds?
I'm hoping to pick up a fairing soon and have been thinking about adding speakers to the mix.
I love them, I cant hear them so clear at freeway speeds here in cali and over my TH exhaust, but they are also behind my speedo which I plan on rising out of the way so it's more direct.
Quality is amazing and instal is cake, they have build in amps.
lol wait you cant hear them at fwy speeds? or over your exhaust so when do you hear it? when the bike is off
i dont know if you saw my post or dont care for a stereo bag but like i said i ordered this stereo bag from the powder pro, and its 500 watts and reviews say its VERY LOUD cant wait he uses polk audio
No offense, but there was a reason I ignored your first post. I am not interested in a Powder Pro product...Too bad because they look pretty well made...Thanks for posting the pic though!

Wife only gave me a $200 budget for the stereo (she's still a tad miffed about all the engine work last season, hehe) Going with a Show Chrome Accessories unit from Cruiser Customizing for $145. I'm running a Ness bullet fairing and plan to mount the 2.5" speakers to the side supports of the fairing so that they are tucked away and out of sight to anyone not looking for them and I'll mount the mini amp to the headlight support bar. Custom brackets will eventually get powder coat to keep with the black controls theme I have going on and I'll just handlebar mount an ipod holder. Will post pics of install once the stereo comes in. We'll see how it goes.
I had a batwing fairing, and i installed some speakers and an amp. All which fit inside the brackets. I ran my music off my ipod. It was a set of Patriot 4" speakers and a small 500 watt amp. Here is a video i shot a while ago when i still had the bike. Sounded real good. Both the speakers and amp i got off ebay. If i remember right the speakers were 70 and the amp was 35. The speakers had an L bracket that came off it and i mounted 2 small screws to the fairing bracket and the amp i had used velcro to hold it were it was. I was able to pull the fairing off when i wanted since it was all attatched to the fairing. I just ran power up front with a quick dissconnet. Sorry i dont have any pics of the setup just the video i shot. Hope it helps. I had the fork bag stereo before i did my own. Alot of people like it, but it just wasent for me. But that was me, nothing against those that love it. Plus that was like 300 where my setup was 100 bucks.
