I have a 2000 Harley Davidson Dyna Low Rider. Now while out riding yesterday I seem to have lost a raised rubber strip from my pilot style foot peg. It was just the bottom one of the three, The middle one has the HD shield on it.
Now I am wondering if these rubber inserts can be bought and replaced. I mean I would rather not spend over a hundred dollars for new foot chrome pegs when they look new minus a lost piece of rubber.
I do have the pictures up on my facebook page and open to public view. https://www.facebook.com/robert.grant.7771586 I have 6 pictures of the bike including a shot of the pedal missing the rubber. If anyone knows where I can go or who I can call to get this strip of rubber replaced please let me know. TY.
Seems I can find the pedals just fine doing a search for Harley Davidson chrome and rubber foot pegs on Google. Who do I call or contact if I just want the rubber. I shouldn't have to spend $70 for a new foot peg. I mean for it to fall out to me is a defect.
HD does have or at least should have replacement rubbers. I know Kuryakyn supplies the for their products. Try looking at J&Pcycles.com, If you can't find them do some live chat help with one of their teks, they are live right now! At least you will get an answer.

There tech is only live till 5pm on weekends so I will try tomorrow I guess. It really sucks I can find the foot pegs sold all over. Even used on Ebay. Just too expensive when I only need a strip of rubber. You know? I would rather put that money toward another bike mod.

Infact I was looking at a sound system.
Right well your foot is over that part when your riding so there is at least the fact you can ride without it!
If you really can't find it, and I think HD does have the replacements for that, I've seen your FB pic that model peg is willie G (the pic is a little blurry) so they should be able to get that for you. But if you really cant find it go to home hardware and get some kind of caulking that dries hard and is paintable, should be about 5$ plus a little creativity!
Sound system yeah Try looking up the powder pro on this site! He is JRK5892
Well after a good deal of searching I think I found them on my own. Trouble is I don't know what size I need. Here are the links to both the small and large. Guess I will need to know what the size of the foot peg in relation to which repair kit and I might have to wait till Monday to figure that out.
Anyway here are the links just incase anyone else ever needs them:
Those J&P guys will tell you tomorrow. And they might get it faster than HD unless your dealer happens to have that part in stock.
Well J&P didn't have them and wasn't really able to help. However since I found the item number my Harley Dealer was able to order and bring me in the repair kit. Should have it by the end of the week.
Do wish my Harley Dealership had it in stock but the guy didn't even know that it was available till I gave him the part number. Hate it when I know more then they do.
If you ordered it online, you probably would have got it faster and cheaper.
No the site said ships in seven days and the price was a few dollars higher plus shipping. As long as I take a ride to my dealer it is about $6 cheaper.
