fuel regulator replacement Help?
I'm changing my fuel regulator and cant figger this out--it doesn't look very secure a seal-how does the larger o-ring get installed? there is a green plastic ring that goes on the new regulator and then an o-ring----does the oring just slip onto the regulator below the green ring? this doesn't seem like a very good seal--I tried to put the oring on the green thing but then it cant fit into the regulator housing and the clip wont fit--It doesnt seem like a good seal and I wonder if I'm missing somethin?

there should be four parts plus regulator. start with regulator next is the plastic backup ring, next the larger o ring, next the filter screen, next the small o ring. rub clean oil on the two o rings and push and turn slightly it will slip right in place. install retainer clip.

Thanks for the reply, target--so the O-ring is placed on the regulator body after the plastic ring --the o-ring is then inside the housing and nothing seals the lip? It just doesnt seem to be a very good seal--
