Skull Aircleaner Insert

Does this piece stick to the outside of the football aircleaner cover, or can I use it to bolt over my k&n filter leaving the element exposed? I saw some pics on this forum with the cover and open air element, but didn't see a hole where the cover would mount to the element.

i have mine without football, it screws in or you can use it with, it your choice

LoLife, If ya dont like that exposed edge of the filter showing, I see thet you have a diffrent head light, If ya still have your old headlight ring it fits perfict over the outer edge of the filter first then put the skull cover on. Looks kinda cool and gives ya a finished edge instead of the rubber gasket showing. Trotter
