Took me about 2 hours, by myself last night. That's me taking my time and wife going to Lowes for the bracket bolts. I plan on calling V&H about the bolts, but I wasn't about to wait 2 weeks for some bolts that cost me .43 cents. Also getting the heat shield clamps in can be a bit tricky.
1 tip is make sure you disconnect the O2 scensor before removing it from the pipe. I also use a shallow 1/2 inch socket with a long extension in 1/4 inch drive ratchet. It fits behind the heat shields.
oh yeah forgot. for the 02 sensors get them completely out of the bike and handing down by the pipes. my mistake was I had the 02 sensors disconnected from the seat and snaked down the seat but was still within the wires under the seat. forgot to take them out. had to go to HD and get new ones and this was $57 I believe. so just ensure you got the 02 sensor wired completely routed out of the bike.
agree with not waiting 2 weeks but then that time mid-march it was still cool to ride anyway so we had a few more weeks before riding season. It may be .43 at Lowes but ir is charged $5 when you order thru them...they gotta get their cut too lol.
My head bolts seem to be staying tight. I had problems with the bracket bolts coming loose. I tightened them 3 times, and decided to use lock tite on them. Also the bolt holding my crome end cap on, kept backing out, again I used lock tite. As of now, eveything is staying tight
