Ok guys. I just got a new 2013 WG and the old lady is NOT happy on the back. The pitiful pad they use on them is worthless. I am looking at possibly getting a sundowner or something along that line. I am looking at something thats a deep bucket and has plenty of support for the wife on long trips. I dont want something that is ungodly huge that sticks up off the bike 3 feet. I want something that will maintain the lines of the bike yet add comfort. Any ideas besides the Sundowner? I have looked at a few Mustang seats as well and like the Bad Lander seat as well.
I ended up buying a harley touring seat from a member here for my low rider. Wifes *** is happy. We did 945 miles this weekend and she didnt complain until a few hours into the last day, after 3, 300+ mile days in a row.
I am 6'5" and need something for the lady, as well as something that could give me an extra inch or so.
The guys at the dealership recommended the Sundowner because they said the passenger seat is good, and it will give me an extra inch or two of leg room.
However, I read on this forum that the Sundowner actually pushes you forward.
Yeah not looking to be pushed forward. An inch would be ok but not a great deal. I will be swapping out to slammer bars soon as well. I cant stand the stock bars on the WG.
I just swapped out my switchback seat with a sundowner. It does indeed push you forward an inch or so. Which reminds me, anybody looking for a switchback seat? lol
I'm running the Mustang Wide Touring Vintage combo. I don't think it looks bad and its probably about as comfortable of a seat as you're going to put on a Dyna.
I have a C&C sport tour. Its low profile with great passenger comfort. Its not like a fluffy couch either. It sits you back and down a little but it feels awesome compared to the factory seat. It has great back support as well.
Is tht sport tour any narrower in the front by the tank than the stock seat?
I think they are about the same but I cant really remember the only time I had the factory seat on was for the ride home from the dealer then I put my C&C seat on I had kept from my 06 WG.
