There is no throttle sleeve and you do not need any type of glue.
I have the instructions from the Harley Skull grips that I installed on my Street Bob, I can scan them and email them to you if you would like. PM me if you would like them.
The left hand grip was not hard to come off. After removing the left switch housing screws,I just grapped it very tightly with both hands. When you feel the glue giving twist the other direction it takes a little force but it will come loose.
BE CAREFUL WITH THE BRAKE SWITCH ON THE THROTTLE SIDE WHEN PUTTING THE BRAKE LEVER BACK ON.It is very easy to damage it. But if you are careful nothing will happen to it.
Haven't put them on yet. Local Harley dealer had an event yesterday. After spending the afternoon there, I rode til dark to take advantage of the weather.
If it doesn't rain all day today, I will tackle the grips thanks to you guys. If not today, I'll get em tomorrow.
i just did my hand grips on wide glide mine did not need glue or a sleeve just loosen your switch housings and remove the old grips and put new ones on they will lock in place and tighten your housings simple looks harder than you think
I got the new grips installed yesterday. I didn't like the ones I got off Ebay, so I went to the dealer and got a pair of rubber and chrome grips. Like you guys said, nothing to it.
