Apes and Bags
Finally finished my Khrome Works 16" Apes last night. Over the weekend I installed my "used" Boss Bags. I really like the look of "Ethel", even with the bags (although I doubt I will ride with the bags on all the time, they're new to me so I like them for the time being).
Along with the Mustang Wide Solo, this completes my mods for this year (unless someone posts with something I can't live without - which seems to happen almost every day - damn it).
I thought the bars would be great on the road, but might take some getting used to while maneuvering slowly in parking lots and such. I couldn't have been more wrong. While they are great on the road, they also allow so much more control at slow speeds. The bike seems to much lighter now.
Wish I had them on Memorial Weekend when we rode the Talimena Skyway in Arkansas. Now I have to find time to make some long runs over the next two months (I don't have to work - I'm a Teacher/Coach).
The Boss Bags are great. They fit close, even without my detachable sideplates.
I have included pictures of both Bags and Apes. Let me know your impressions, good or bad.
