Those of you with a Mustang Wide Tripper.
How 'long' is your seat?
I have the Harley distressed brown solo.
Looks good but it's only about '1 hour long'.
Mean City Cycles won't help because it leather.
There's not a lot of options in distressed brown.
The flat black FXDB looks really good with brown leather.
So. How long is your Wide tripper? 1 hr? 1 1/2 hr? 2 hr?
Over Memorial Day weekend we made a three day trip from Wichita Falls, TX to Mena, Arkansas and rode the Talimena National Scenic Skyway. About 750 miles roundtrip. Although we did not do any really long days, my Mustang Wide Day Tripper was very comfortable all the way.
Our trip home was a bit longer. One of the guys bikes had problems with the coil. We had to cruise at about 45 mph for about half 2 hours until a rescue trailer arrived. This made the ride back about 6 hours. No porblem with the seat during that ride either.
The only problem I have found with the seat is that it sits me pretty close to the stock position and since I'm 6'1" I would like to find a solo that pushes me back. That being said, this is by far the most comfortable solo that I have found.
I rode my mustang wide tripper solo to CO and back from Montana last year. Back through OR , ID , WA etc. 4000 plus miles. the longest day from Tremonton , UT to Portand, OR . These things are made to ride. I love mine. I have the wide tripper solo diamond stitch in brown and love it. As long as the rest of the bike is set up right... aka bars, hwy pegs etc.. you should be good for many long days.
