I have a 2013 Dyna Street bob. I have saddle bags, sissy bar and luggage rack. I want to make my saddle bags removable. I tried just removing the two bolts holding them, but it was a pain and also the same bolt holds the sissy bar.
Is there any one out there that can suggest some fix. Something like the latch that hold my quick release windshield. Or a pin or something.
I put Cycle Visions Bare Backs on my bike and they work OK. If I was going to do it again, I would probably have saved the money and just gotten some threaded rod and acorn nuts.
If your dyna is like my wife's SGC, it will be difficult to DIY because (compared to the vid above) the rear bolt hole is not threaded and the metal bar along the fender is wider in the front than aft.
I was spending hours trying to mix and match bolt lengths and eventually resorted to EZ brackets due to my belief they would work better with larger/heavier bags.

From the photos posted the op has bags installed already so more than half the battle is done.
Found a interesting solution called Ghoast Bracket. Its a plate secured to the back of the bags which fits their fender attachments.
Has any one tried these . Would appreciate oppions.
Thanks,
Roger
All I did was buy longer bolts, remove the bracket from inside the fender thread the 3/8 inch button head bolts from inside to out, slide the backrest hardware on and then a low profile 3/8 nut to hold that, slide the saddlebag over the extraneous threaded ends and fasten with acorn nuts. Bags are on or off in 20 seconds a piece.
Ghost brackets and easy brackets are cool but stick out quite a bit.
