Putting a 2013 street bob rear fender on my 06 sb. I intend to run a run/stop/turn module so my turn signal act as all of the above. Any recommendations as to the best plug and play unit? I heard the oem hd ones either dont work well or dont last too long. Ive heard of badlands. Any others i should consider? And for anyone who had done a fender swap like this can you explain in detail how you went about running the wiring and if you kept the stock junction box thing that is behind the stock tailight where all the rear lights plug into. Thanks
I agree i used the HD unit on two bikes never a problem on either on they been on for years and been through almost every weather condition from snow/rain to close too 100 degrees on sunny days. Never had a problem and they are simple plug in unit to boot.
My buddy has an HD unit from 2005 that only lights up the turn signal lights when you apply the brake or use a turn signal.
My old NON HD one (gone with the flooded bike) had both turn signals lit all the time and would blink on turns and glow bright when the brake was applied.
Does the new HD unit keep all three lights lit at all times?
On my 2nd HD one. The first one didnt last very long at all. (Less than 6 months, electrical part, of course no return", when it failed it didnt fail completely, just one side)If this one ***** the bed ill definitely be going with another brand.
