Head lights dim intermittent every once in a while I will lose the speedometer for a few seconds. I've checked the battery terminals they are tight. 2011 fat bob.

Sounds to my like the orange/white wire has a bad connection in the main harness connector...
Check the basics first....battery and charging system.
How does it start? Easy or Hard?
Check the manual for troubleshooting procedures. A single wire would not cause both issues. Shorts in wiring will not cause things to dim....they blow fuses.

The orange/white wire runs from the fuse panel (accy fuse) to the l/h side handlebar switches, thus feeding 12V to the handlebar switches.
From a splice in the main harness this wire feeds 12 V to the speedo as well.
A short (12 v touching ground) would cause a blown fuse indeed. I never mentioned a short though, only a bad connection.

I suspect the bad connection is either behind the fuse panel or in the 12 pin connector which is hidden in the neck of the frame.
The blue wire for the headlights runs from the fuse panel (light fuse) through the main harness and an 8 pin connector (in the neck also) to the l/h handlebar switch housing.light switch.
