How to clean black engine components?

I have an '07 WG. The chrome is easy to clean, but the black wrinkle on the engine block is a pain and always looks dirty. Does anyone have any recommendations for cleaning and detailing?

Try Pledge. It works great and U got the tip right here from the Forum. The wife aint to happy about it though as she can never find it.....lol

S100 Engine Brightener. Works better every time you use it.

Windex for the dirt and hose off. Blow dry then S100 Engine Brightener.

Once it's clean, I use S100 Engine Brightener or Adam's Undercarriage Spray (it's not intended for this purpose, but it works well and holds up to the heat). I actaully prefer the S100, but you have to be careful with it… if you spray it on too heavy (like is easy to do in those hard to reach places) you'll end up with a glossy spot. You can puddle the Adam's stuff and it'll all dry to an even sheen.
