Why don't u want to do it urself? It's actually super easy...toughest part to me was feeding the wires through the bars. Takes a few minutes of carefully working it, but it's not tough. What part scares u?

Assuming you don't have to add any wire extensions, there is NO snipping of wires needed. You will have to remove the wires from the pin connectors but that is not too difficult. You can find info on the forum about how to remove them. There are also plenty of threads about how to fish the wires through the bars. Take your time and you will be proud of your work when it's all done.

you do not need to remove the pin connectors, as of 2012 the dyna models use the new smaller connectors. you can run them threw the bars. i ran wires threw 12 in west coast mx bars...and a set of rsd vintage apes, look at a set of rsd vintage apes they have one 90 degree bend and one other bend that somewhat bends downwards at a 45.

1. pull the rubber plugs of each side of the neck of the bike.
2. pull wires from the bars out of each side of the frame, you may need to unbolt your tank to slide it back and up a few inches. put a wood 2x4 ontop the front valve cover to hold up the tank. this is to remove the black plastic piece under the frame above the valve cover if needed to reach your wires
( you may not need to do this)..you do not need to remove the crossover line.
3. take of your controls one side at a time, let them just hang down. pay close attention to removing your throttle cables. do not lose the little brass pieces or the plastic moon thing that your cruise control screw uses.
4. pull off the bars and pull out the wires with the connectors still on. right side wire has two connectors one for the headlight, one for controls i guess.
5. go sit at your kitchen table, maybe run a string threw the bars (look for it on you tube you use a vacum cleaner to get the string threw). sometimes you can push the wires threw the bars so you wont need to pull them threw. get the wires threw your bars take your time if you get pissed take a break.
6. bolt new bars to the trees, hook wires up, put controls on and check all run/start/lights etc.. work before you tighten everything down and put away your tools.

7. after you do this onetime you will be able to do the swap in 45 mins. it is very very easy, remember put it together the same way you took it apart.

8. if you mess this up hit me up ill point you in right direction.

good luck, do not go pay this swap

It's not bad, I did mine with zero experience. Watch some youtube videos. It's basically unplug wires (which can be tricky but once you learn it's a snap), run wiring through new bars, it wires back in.

Obviously I skipped the bolt/unbolt of the handlebars but everything you loosen you can tighten again.

Branson hit the nail on the head. I will say, after just doing it on my 13 bob, u shouldn't have to mess with the tank. Just remove the rubber things on the neck, pull the wires out, unplug the connectors, and remove the grips and bars. Reassemble. Trust me, once you do it and see how easy it was, you will be pissed that you got quoted $300 to do the job. Once done, use the $300 to buy a new mod!
